Okinedo Oghenekome — known to most as Chef Komz — is a Continental and African Cuisine Instructor at Giggles Culinary Place. Her love for cooking started at a remarkably young age; when most girls her age were busy with dolls, hair and makeup, she was far more interested in pots and pans.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology and Nutrition, Chef Kome also discovered a deep passion for the culinary arts. For her, cooking is therapeutic — she is in her best element when she is in the kitchen, surrounded by fresh ingredients and the energy of creating something nourishing and beautiful from scratch.

With over eight years of professional experience in the culinary industry and counting, Chef Kome brings a wealth of practical knowledge to every class she teaches. Her expertise spans both continental and African cuisines, giving students an exceptional range of techniques, flavour profiles and cultural perspectives to draw from.

At Giggles, Chef Kome is celebrated for her ability to make even the most complex dishes feel approachable. Her warmth in the kitchen, combined with her technical rigour, creates a learning environment where students build confidence alongside skill — leaving her classes not only as better cooks, but as more inspired ones.
